Amber Rose wants you to be a ‘bad bitch’

Publié le par huhuaack

Amber Rose grew to fame as a former video vixen but became a household name after a relationship with Kanye West and her marriage to rapper Wiz Khalifa. Now, the hip-hop model/artist/fashion designer/actress has a new line to add to her résumé with the release of first book, “How To Be a Bad Bitch,” a compilation of the 32-year-old’s secrets to life, love and success. As the tome is released Tuesday, here are the top 10 lessons you can take away from Muvah Rose.

Have a vision

Form a vision of who you are and what you want, and take active steps to achieve it. Also, it’s not about where you’re from but where you want to be. For Rose, that meant leaving her hometown of Philadelphia and making her way to Hollywood. Some have maligned her for how she’s gotten there, but say what you want — she now boasts a California address.

Act confident — even if you aren’t

People prey on weakness and the need to feel accepted — so even when you’re not feeling your best make the attempt to take a shower and put on some makeup so you feel pretty. The world is a much easier place to navigate when you put your best self forward.

Be open and honest about sex

Keep your man interested without giving more than you’re willing to lose. If there is something you’re genuinely not into, be upfront about it — it’ll be harder to voice your true feelings later. And the art of seduction isn’t just about sex: It’s ultimately all about fostering a warm, strong connection.

Find your fashion role model

Don’t just follow trends and what the fashion industry says is hot. Rose loved singer Cyndi Lauper while growing up and turned to her as one of her many inspirations. Find your own role models, and adopt some of their style aspects as your own. (But be realistic: Not everyone can rock a short platinum blond ’do.)

It’s OK to make the first move . . .

If you see a cute guy and want to make the first move, slyly slide him your number. The worst thing that’ll happen is he won’t call — no biggie! But if he does decide to text, wait at least 10 minutes to reply, and never settle for a booty call — unless that’s what you’re looking for.

. . . and it’s OK to sleep around

Part of being a bad bitch is living your life to the fullest — and that applies to love, too. Do what make you feel comfortable — if you want to invite a guy in after the first date, that’s OK! What you do is your business, but if you are quick to jump into bed with him, be cool with the fact he may not call you back. In the words of Amber, “I had a good time. I did what I wanted to do. I lived my life.”

Take the high road

The saying goes that all men cheat — but don’t stoop to his level if he has a “side piece.” Instead of starting a secret relationship on the side, talk to your significant other first — open communication is always best. That way, if the relationship doesn’t work out at least you gave it your all without cheating and the “two can play that game” shenanigans.

Master the art of the sexy selfie

Never, ever send a guy nude photos of you — no matter how many times he might ask. (Trust Rose — she learned the hard way.) After all, if he breaks up with you, those very images can end up all over social media. If you really want to send your man a sexy shot, some subtle cleavage should be more than enough to keep him satisfied. (Not that subtlety’s ever been her strong suit.)

Embrace your weirdness

Give yourself permission to be free: Find out what you love to do and what makes you happy. Once you figure out your passion nobody can tell you differently. As Rose says, “At the end of the day, who are you going to listen to — them or you?”

Dance like nobody’s watching

Ever go to the club and see that girl killing it on the dance floor? Guys look past her flaws as she redefines what’s sexy. Fearlessness is always what’s most attractive. So live your life like that lady who does not give a damn — while others lean on the wall and watch your every move.
